With a gingham tea towel as a scarf and chips in her sleeve, Malin is just as likely to host a picnic on the living room floor as she is by the sea. Think good old BLTs, proper wine glasses, cinnamon buns and a thermos full of ice. Her feed is filled with delicious food you’ll instantly crave and witty captions that’ll make you smile. Add just enough everyday chaos, and you’ve got Malin in a nutshell – the kind of real-life beauty we can’t get enough of.

Here are the 5 picnic tips she swears by:

1. Bring real glasses

1. Bring real glasses

Gosh, I really appreciate a proper glass when I’m having a picnic. Chilled wine or a Coca-Cola in a real glass. I usually bring ice too. Call me Malin „thermos full of ice“ Persson.

2. Keep the picnic bar low

2. Keep the picnic bar low

Got a blanket, a sheet or a towel + something to eat? Great, that’s a picnic. Don’t overthink it. Picnic more, fuss less.

3. The simplest and loveliest

3. The simplest and loveliest

Nothing makes me happier on a picnic than sandwiches. A good BLT or this: sourdoughbuns with butter and cheese. Coffee in a thermos. Sugar-coated cinnamon buns.

4. Have a picnic indoors

4. Have a picnic indoors

This summer, I’m setting up picnics on the living room floor. The kids think it’s the wildest thing ever. In their world, it’s completely crazy. In mine, it’s the easiest thing in the world.

5. Keep chips up your sleeve

5.  Keep chips up your sleeve

Chips at the beach, on a picnic, with drinks, after a swim. Always, always chips. Well… maybe not when you’re at the cinema or the library. Otherwise: always.
